You Should Be Your Priority.
How often do you find yourself overextending yourself to the needs of others? Hw many days do you feel drained, overwhelmed and resentful, because you have not have the time to do the things that you wanted or needed to do? I can clearly say that I have experienced these days more often than not. I have been guilty of pouring so much of myself into others and leaving nothing for me. I was always saying yes when I wanted to say no and that by any means is unhealthy
Well it's a new day...................
I had to realize that everyone else is not my assignment. I had the audacity to put myself and my needs second to everyone else's and wondered why I felt drained and angry. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Being the one that everyone goes to is a blessing and a curse for a person who does not know how to set boundaries. Learning to set boundaries is a key component of self-care. Don't overextend yourself and rest in your "no." The way that you treat yourself is the way that you show other people how to treat you. Try practicing some self-love, self-compassion and self-care. You should be your number one priority. You can’t take care of anyone if you’re not taking care of yourself. Please remember to fill your cup.
